She has predominantly acted only in Tamil films, and is well known for her performances as Anitha and divya in the films directed by Selvaraghavan. 7G Rainbow Colony and Kaadhal Kondein are some of her popular films.

Sonia married the director Selvaraghavan in December 2006. Unfortunately both could not stay together in the marital bond and parted ways legally in March 2010.

While addressing to the media actress Sonia Agarwal confessed that she has been getting a lot of offers after her divorce was announced. Sonia Agarwal chose not to act in films and kept away soon after her marriage. But now she has resumed acting and we can see her in many films this year. It is also said that Sonia is dressing quite glamorously and all directors are impressed by her looks and offering films to her. Well, may be dressing glamorously can be a great way to get a lot of offers!

Though Sonia is flooded with many offers she will choose to work only for films that has a good story line and not in any random movie. She feels that she has wasted a couple of years and has to rebuild that fast with some good roles that can impress Tamil Film Audience. At the moment she is patient and choosing the right roles.

Director Selvaraghavan is moving ahead with his second marriage and at the moment does not care if Sonia is getting too many offers or not.
Sonia is attempting a comeback in the Tamil Film industry and the first film of hers that we will be seeing is ‘Vaanam’ in which she will pair with actor Prakashraj. Since it is going to be her second innings in Kollywood she is all set to make a big name with her film. She is really working hard towards that. She does not mind doing a glamorous role in order to impress her Tamil fans. She has signed for some Telugu films as well.

Well, let us hope and pray that she does not fall in love with any director with whom she would be interacting in the forthcoming films and concentrate on her career. Good Luck, Sonia.
